“Disappointed in Delivery Time”

This is a great product; I have been very happy with it and purchased one for my mother as a gift. However, it took Amazon seven days to ship it after I placed my order. So, I am looking at 14 days of estimated delivery time from point of purchase. I bought it as a birthday present but it is going to arrive late. Amazon misrepresented the delivery time on the initial order. I will buy it next time at Williams Sonoma and ship it myself.
“An excellant electric kettle”

This kettle replaces a plastic Krups electric kettle I have had for over 10 years. After reading about the potential hazards of boiling water in plastic kettles, I decided to make the switch (and the old kettle had started to leak). I have been using the kettle for just under a month now and I love the swivel base and the stainless appearance. The kettle boils quickly, is easy to pour and does not dribble or spill. As other posters commented, the exterior does get hot, so use caution when placing on a table. Overall very happy with this kettle’s performance.
Just a note: but I first saw this kettle at William Sonoma, but bought it on Amazon as it was .00 cheaper and free shipping!

This is the second Breville kitchen appliance we have purchased, and from the look of things, we will end up with a kitchen full of their stuff. This is just a flat out great kettle in every respect. In addition to its attractive and innovative backlit water level indicator, it heats water to a boil in a shockingly short amount of time, then shuts off and emits a little ringing bell sound. Everything about this kettle is ergonomically well thought out, and it is really well built. If I could give this 6 stars, I would.

I’ve had the Breville for a few weeks now after a thorough search for the best product to buy and I love it. I found it at a Bed, Bath & Beyond which didn’t have as much selection as I thought it would. Luckily, the Breville was there by chance. I usually heat up about 1 1/2 cups of water in the morning and again at night. I empty the pot after each use. I haven’t had any issues as of yet. The plug is neat, instead of a normal two-prong-plug, there’s a circle where you can put your finger through and pull out the plug. Neat idea – has nothing to do with the quality of the product. I would rate this as a great buy.

The best place to buy french cookware is in France. However, if you can not travel to Paris, do not fret, you can start your French cookware collection by surfing ebay for le-creuset pots new and old. Do not be put off by buying a second hand le creuset pot, because they last and last and last.
Better still when you search on ebay keep an eye on items listed incorrectly spelt “le crueset”. Lots of people spell it incorrectly and you can grab yourself some incredible bargains. Because le creuset pots are incredibly heavy it is a good idea to consider where the item being sold is located as postage and shipping can add up. Copper pots also last and are worth looking for on ebay as well.
There is much more to French cookware than ramekins, gratin dishes and copper pots. Good quality French cookware not only enhances your cooking it is also an incredible joy to use. What makes French cookware so irresistible is that it is made for a lifetime. It is not about disposable products. It is about buying products you can use for a lifetime and then pass on to your children who can then pass it on to their children. Chuck Williams, founder of Williams-Sonoma loves French cookware.

Visiting the cookware stores is a memorable experience. They can be poorly lit, cramped, wonderful and typically quintessentially Paris. All the help in the world is there if you are willing to speak a little French, or your best Franglais. People that are aware think no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to a french cookware shop. You will find kitchen utensils items you see in cook books and that you have only dreamed about.
Here you will see heavy-duty pots, great quality knives, and sturdy baking pans that really really work. Wooden shelves are piled high with every conceivable kind of tart pan, square, round, oval big and small. There are white porcelain baking dishes and Le Creuset pots in every size and colour. The range is unbelievable.
